Themes and notebooks from Miss Burch's courses, including three themes describing certain aspects of Trinity College; one arguing that lynching is unjustifiable; and articles on child labor in North Carolina and the moral effects of a shorter working day. The paper on child labor includes opinions from mill executives in North Carolina and educator Charles Duncan McIver. Notebooks include those for English courses, one of which was taught by William P. Few, social science courses, history courses, German, psychology, Latin, sociology, and an economics course under Jerome Dowd. Two memorandum books list school expenses and Miss Burch's schedule for a year.
